Gaming Goldmine: March 2026 Brings JRPGs, Sports, and Sci-Fi Thrills!

The gaming calendar for March 16-22, 2026 is absolutely packed with must-play titles across all platforms. From PS5 and Xbox Series X/S to PC and the new Switch 2, gamers have an incredible variety to choose from this week. With JRPGs, sports simulations, and sci-fi shooters all dropping simultaneously, it’s a feast for fans of every genre. Physical copies are hitting shelves, but be prepared for those inevitable day-one patches that have become standard in modern gaming.

Monday kicks things off with The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin on PS5 and PC, promising an action-packed experience based on the popular anime franchise. Starship Troopers: Ultimate Bug War! brings the classic sci-fi IP to life across multiple platforms including PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and the newly released Switch 2. PC gamers have Grind Survivors and Deadline Delivery to look forward to, offering unique gameplay experiences that cater to different tastes.

Tuesday brings Dread Delusion to consoles, with ports available for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and Switch 2. The big release, however, is MLB The Show 26 on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. Early impressions from Digital Foundry suggest this baseball simulation is pushing technical boundaries, with special attention given to the PS5 Pro version. The question on everyone’s mind is whether the open world can match the immersive quality of titles like Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Ghost of Yotei, or if it falls into the trap of being just a checklist of objectives. For now, I’ll be juggling Slay the Spire 2, Marathon, and Monster Hunter Stories 3 in my attempt to “JRPG-pill my kids” - a surprisingly effective approach to introducing them to the genre!
